City Theatre student matinees offer educators and students the opportunity to experience new and adventurous plays in a professional theatre environment. Each performance is accompanied by a post-show talkback session with the cast and crew. Teachers attending the matinees also receive show-specific resource guides prior to their visit. Each guide features informative interviews, articles, and classroom activities that fulfill Pennsylvania Academic Standards.

Little Women Digital Screening

This year, City Theatre will be releasing a digital recording of the performance. How does it work?

1. Sign up to view the performance via this form.

2. You will receive an invoice for $60. (This is our EARLY BIRD PRICING! Save 20% if you sign up and pay by October 17! After that, the price will raise to $75)

3. Once the invoice is paid, Katie will send out our Educator Resource Guide with context and activities for your students to go through prior to viewing the streaming performance. Our resource guide is designed with state standards and core curriculum in mind.

4. The recording will be released sometime the week of December 1 (and no later than December 5). You'll receive a link and password to view it. The recording is for educational purposes only and will only be available until January 5, 2026 (as outlined by Actors Equity Association).

5. Let us know what you think! In early January, we'll send out a follow up survey to see how it went. With enough positive feedback, we may look into a digital distribution for other productions in the future as well!
