For Community Partners
Arts Access
Arts Access supports students with disabilities in exploring and expressing their creativity through playmaking and the theatre arts. City Theatre collaborates with teachers and program managers to design custom workshops for students with diverse learning needs, centering each program on participants’ strengths, interests, and goals. Programming is offered in both school‑day classrooms and afterschool settings in partnership with community organizations.
Current partnerships include The Woodlands Foundation and Friendship Circle.
Workshops
Playmaking Lab: Collaborative, performance forward, theatre workshops for students eager to work on their feet, collaborate, and create. 5-15 hours of instruction.
City Theatre Tours:
Bring your group behind the scenes at City Theatre! Community tours offer an inside look at Pittsburgh’s home for bold new plays, introducing participants to the creative process, the people who make theatre happen, and the spaces where new work is developed and produced. Whether you're a school, youth-serving organization, community group, or arts program, tours can be tailored to the interests and needs of your group. Tours are always free.
