"OBVIOUSLY GREAT PEOPLE CAN DO HORRIBLE THINGS."
Written by Stephen Belber

World Premiere
With her military career firmly behind her, single mother Laura finally has her son front-and-center in her life. But when a reporter appears demanding answers to a covered-up, decade-old story from her time in Afghanistan, the murky events of a single night resurface, revealing untold truths and painful consequences. A world premiere that investigates the personal cost of war and what it means to survive.
Director Adrienne Campbell-Holt, making her City Theatre debut, is the recipient of the 2018 Lucille Lortel Visionary Director Award.
We Are Among Us explores the fallout from a single imagined incident that took place during the military conflict in Afghanistan. The play includes frank discussions of violence that could impact audience members who have experienced combat or the effects of war. We recommend the show for ages 16 and up. Theatrical haze is used in this production.
