GIANNI DOWNS (Scenic Designer) is the Director of Undergraduate Studies, Head of Design/Tech, and a Lecturer of Scenic Design and Scenic Art in the Theatre Arts Department at the University of Pittsburgh. His work has been nationally recognized with a Kevin Kline Award and two nominations for productions at the Repertory Theatre of St. Louis, as well as an Irene Ryan nomination for designs at Stoneham Theatre. He is the recipient of the 2017 Tina and David Bellet Teaching Excellence Award as well as the Innovation in Education Award in 2015 and 2018. He has had the pleasure of working regionally at Theatre Squared, City Theatre, Merrimack Repertory Theatre, PICT Classic Theatre, The Repertory Theatre of St. Louis, Stoneham Theatre, Pittsburgh Playhouse, Front Porch Theatricals, as well as many others. Gianni received his MFA from Brandeis University, and has been on the faculty of Westminster College, Carnegie Mellon University's School of Drama, the University of Pittsburgh, and Point Park University. PATTI KELLY (Production Stage Manager) is thrilled to return to City Theatre for her 35th season! Having been with the company for over half of its lifetime, some of Patti’s favorite shows at City Theatre include Birthday Candles, The Real James Bond…Was Dominican, Native Gardens, POTUS Or, Behind Every Great Dumbass Are Seven Women Trying to Keep Him Alive, The Old Man and the Old Moon, The Royale, Hand to God, The 39 Steps, Marcus; or The Secret of Sweet, Hedwig and the Angry Inch, Compleat Female Stage Beauty, Gross Indecency: The Three Trials of Oscar Wilde, Molly Sweeney, The Baltimore Waltz, and Our Country’s Good. Other credits include Hedwig and the Angry Inch at Hartford Stage; Hysteria for Pittsburgh Public Theater; Richard II, The Tempest, Othello, As You Like It, Horse of a Different Color, Romeo and Juliet, and Macbeth for Three Rivers Shakespeare Festival; and over 30 plays for the Carnegie Mellon Showcase of New Plays. Patti is a recipient of the Fred Kelly Award for Outstanding Achievement in Theatre and is a proud member of Actors’ Equity.

Randy Kovitz (Fight Director) Randy is pleased to return to City Theatre after a 40 year hiatus. He worked as an actor for City Players, the forerunner to City Theatre, in the 70s when the company was in residence at what is now the New Hazlett Theater. Since that time, Randy has worked as both an actor in stage, film and TV and as fight director, creating violence for hundreds of productions around the country. He has choreographed fights for such notable actors as Sean Penn, Viggo Mortenson, Stacey Keach, John Malkovich, Noah Wyle, Kelsey Grammer, Kyra Sedgewick and many others. His work has been seen in theaters on and off Broadway, at the Kennedy Center, the Mark Taper Forum, Yale Rep., South Coast Rep and many others. Career highlights include the world premiere productions of Angels in America and Burn This, the Broadway production of The Kentucky Cycle, Sir Peter Hall’s Midsummer Night’s Dream and four seasons at the Tony award-winning Utah Shakespearean Festival. Fights staged on film include The Ballad of the Sad Cafe with Vanessa Redgrave and Keith Carradine, the animated feature Quest for Camelot, The Addams Family — as fencing double for Raul Julia — and Racing Daylight with David Strathairn. Pittsburgh audiences have seen his fights at the Public Theater, barebones, P.I.C.T., Off The Wall, Quantum and many others. Randy has many stage, film and TV roles to his credit and is an award-winning filmmaker.

ANDREW OSTROWSKI (Lighting Designer) Recent credits includes, La Boheme for Pittsburgh Opera, The Roommate, The Burdens, and We Are Among Us for City Theatre. National credits include The National High School Musical Theater Awards in NYC, The Asolo, Virginia Stage Company, Theater Works in Hartford CT., North Shore Music Theatre, George Street Playhouse, TheatreWorks Palo Alto CA., Penn’s Landing Playhouse, New York Theater Institute, Merrimack Repertory Company, The Arden Theatre Company, The Blumenthal Center inCharlotte NC, Spoleto Festival USA, Madison Opera, Dallas Summer Musicals, Theater of the Stars at the fabulous Fox Theater as well as others. Internationally his designs have appeared in France, Sweden, Scotland,and Ireland. From 1998- 2003 Andy was the lighting director for an international tour of the Gershwin opera “Porgy and Bess”. In 2002, he was given a national merit award from the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. Local credits include Pittsburgh Public Theatre, Pittsburgh Opera, Pittsburgh Irish and Classical, Pittsburgh Ballet, City Theatre, Pittsburgh Civic Light Opera, Opera Theatre of Pittsburgh, The REP, The Conservatory Company at the Playhouse, Lincoln Park, and others. M. FLORIAN STAAB (Original Compositions & Sound Designer) is a sound designer and composer based in Brooklyn, NY. Credits include: The Library, Pretty Hunger and Teenage Dick (Public Theater); Uncle Vanya (Pearl Theatre Company); Into the Breeches! (Trinity Rep); Winners (Ensemble Studio Theatre); Death of the Liberal Class (New Ohio); Crackskull Row (The Cell and Irish Rep); The Emperor Jones and Shining City (Irish Rep); Minor Character (New Saloon); A Hunger Artist (Tank/Sinking Ship); This Lingering Life (Here Arts); Mad Libs Live!
