WHEELCHAIR ACCESS

logoCity Theatre is designed for wheelchair access. The main lobby entrance is ramped, and restrooms are accessible on the first floor. Performances in the second-floor Mainstage Theatre are accessible via elevator. Performances in the Lester Hamburg Studio Theatre are accessible via a level concrete walkway. Companion seating is available upon advance request.

A courtesy wheelchair is available on a first-come/first-serve basis by request with the House Management staff.

OPEN CAPTIONING AND AUDIO DESCRIPTION

Select performances of most City Theatre productions feature Audio Descriptions for those who are blind or have low-vision and Open Captioning for those who are deaf or hard of hearing. During these performances, all dialogue and sound effects will be presented in real-time on a three-foot-long LED screen that is adjacent to the stage and all action and physical appearances will be described live through a headset.

*Scripts are available for preview. Please contact Director of Education & Accessibility at least 7 days prior to your visit to receive a copy.

Audio Description provided by Kellee Van Aken.
