PITTSBURGH, PA (November 9, 2009)—City Theatre continues its 35th anniversary season with the world premiere of A Kodachrome Christmas. Written and directed by Pat Hazell, author of City’s 2008 hit The Wonder Bread Years, A Kodachrome Christmas will run on the Mainstage from December 5–27, 2009. The Opening Night performance will take place Friday, December 11 at 8 pm.
Earlene Hoople takes us on a fond trip through the holidays of yesteryear on her local cable access show. Remember cranberry sauce with ridges, waking up at 4 am to open presents, and Dad trying to find that one burned-out lightbulb? Hazell, a former Seinfeld writer and celebrated Boomer humorist, points his unique lens at Christmas past.
A Kodachrome Christmas is a one-woman play featuring Peggy Roeder as Earlene Hoople.
