City Theatre presents The Amish Project, the Off-Broadway sensation written by and starring Jessica Dickey. Under the direction of Sarah Cameron Sunde, The Amish Project runs April 2 – May 8, 2011 on City Theatre's Lester Hamburg Studio Stage with an Opening Night Performance on Friday, April 8 at 8pm.

The Amish Project is a one-performer play featuring Jessica Dickey. The design team includes Lauren Helpern (Scenic/Costume), Nicole Pearce (Lighting), and Jill BC Duboff (Sound).

Writer-performer Jessica Dickey interweaves the stories of seven characters inspired by the true-life shooting at an Amish schoolhouse in rural Pennsylvania. The Amish Project premiered to instant acclaim at the 2008 New York International Fringe Festival, and its subsequent Off-Broadway run was praised by The New York Times as "a remarkable piece of writing."
